GAIMS proudly launches the National Stem Cell Advocacy & Donor Registration Initiative in collaboration with American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin × DATRI Blood Stem Cell Donors Registry
This nationwide student-led project aims to expand India’s stem cell donor registry and bring hope to patients awaiting life-saving transplants.
How can we contribute as medical students?*This initiative will take place in two phases across medical colleges nationwide
Phase 1 :Advocacy & Awareness
College Boards, College Heads, and GAIMS members will conduct awareness campaigns to educate peers and communities about stem cell donation.
Phase 2 : Registration Drives
Project Toolkit (guidelines, forms & materials):
Colleges will organize Stem Cell Donor Registration Camps in collaboration with DATRI, where volunteers can register through a simple consent process and oral swab
