NATIONAL STEM CELL ADVOCACY AND DONOR REGISTRATION INITATIVE
GAIMS proudly launches the *National Stem Cell Advocacy & Donor Registration Initiative* in collaboration with *American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin × DATRI Blood Stem Cell Donors Registry*
This *nationwide student-led project* aims to expand India’s stem cell donor registry and bring hope to patients awaiting life-saving transplants.
*How can we contribute as medical students?*
This initiative will take place in two phases across medical colleges nationwide
*Phase 1 – Advocacy & Awareness*
College Boards, College Heads, and GAIMS members will conduct awareness campaigns to educate peers and communities about stem cell donation.
Phase 2 :Registration Drives
Colleges will organize Stem Cell Donor Registration Camps in collaboration with DATRI, where volunteers can register through a simple consent process and oral swab.
