OUR COMMITTEES
GAIMS Committees Structure
GAIMS functions locally, nationally, and internationally by its six standing committees each focusing on key health areas, medical education, and advocating for the medical students. These are avenues where the students find opportunities in leading, doing research, and providing community services to help drive national and global health movements.
There are six such standing committees:
RASOG – Research and Administration
MESOG – Medical Education
PRESOG –Peace Rights and Environment
SRESOG – Sexual and Reproductive Health Education
GHESOG – Global Health Education
IRC – International Relations Council
Committee Leadership and Structure
Every committee is headed by a National Committee Director with the assistance of:
Assistant Committee Directors – Assists in coordinating and implementing activities for the committee.
National Officers – Coordinate activities in the country and ensure conformance with the local chapters.
They directly report to the Vice President of Activities so as to provide direct communication and accountability.
The State local Officers in a state level conduct various activities and projects implementing committee-driven programs within the institution and community.
Roles and Responsibilities
The director of the National Committee leads the committee to activities, capacity building, and advocacy. These individuals organize and oversee sessions at GAIMS National Committees and help ensure the committee’s objectives align with GAIMS’ broader mission.
Assistant Committee Directors provide support to the National Committee Director in managing projects and coordinating with National Officers with outreach expansion.
The national officers facilitate the successful implementation of committee programs at the national level and serve as the liaison to connect the local chapters to national leadership.

MESOG aims to support medical students in their academic pursuits with integrity and accountability using effective methods. We seek to collaborate globally to enhance events, plans, and policies for aspiring students.

GHESOG is a global community welcoming people from every discipline and culture seeking a more profound understanding of varied aspects of health.

A safe place for everyone to discuss, talk about and exercise their Sexual and Reproductive Rights irrespective of the stigma and discrimination.

A platform unites diverse medical students worldwide to enhance healthcare, promote equity, and support global health.
