Dr Sushrut M. Ingawale
M.D., M.B.B.S. (Physician)

An under-graduate as well as post-graduate of the Seth Gordhandas Sunderdas Medical College (GSMC) and King Edward VII Memorial (KEM) Hospital, Mumbai; he is currently working in the same institution as Assistant Professor in the Department of General Medicine. He has completed his MBBS with Distinction in all 4 years and is a University Gold Medalist. He is also the winner of an International Olympiad for medical students. He was a visiting student to Cornell University, New York and Florida International University, Florida, USA. 

Dr Ingawale has completed his Medicine residency from the prestigious KEM Hospital, which has the highest patient volume amongst the M.C.G.M. Hospitals. During his residency, he has taken various roles: Academic Mentor, Researcher, Teacher, Leader, Speaker, etc. He was awarded the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai Best Resident of the Year. Dr Ingawale has worked in COVID-19 pandemic at KEM Hospital, Seven Hills Hospital and NESCO Phase-2 COVID Jumbo facility.  He also has been active on various fronts not limited to academics like medical education, student and resident welfare activities, etc. He is also a recipient for multiple awards for the Best paper at various conferences and was felicitated as the Young Achiever award for his research work.

Dr Ingawale took over the role of Editor-in-Chief for Global Journal of Medical Students (GJMS), which is an official publication of GAIMS. The 1st volume of GJMS was launched in December, 2021. GJMS is an open-access, peer-reviewed, multidisciplinary, triannual online biomedical journal for promoting research amongst medical students and early career physicians.
